Soul Support for victims of Domestic and Family Violence this White Ribbon Day.

To eradicate the epidemic that is domestic and family violence in Australia, Belinda Hayes, founder and CEO of Soul Events, is hosting a Soul Support “High Tea for DV” event in Brisbane this White Ribbon Day. On Sunday 25th November 2018, Soul Events, in sponsorship with McGuire’s Alexandra Hills Hotel, will be offering registered ticket holders a chance to show their support for victims of domestic and family violence with an annual high tea. With international award-winning special guest speaker, Tracey Horton, sharing her powerful story of survival and healing as well as the CEO and founder of Friends with Dignity (2018 charity of the year) a charity committed to helping those displaced by domestic and family violence in Australia.

“We have an epidemic on our hands in Australia. Enough is enough and this must stop. As a former victim of domestic violence, I know firsthand just how difficult it is to heal from the traumas of this kind of violence, least of all the emotional and mental scars that remain under the surface. These charities, along with Soul Events, are working at the grass roots level to make a change in Brisbane”. Belinda Hayes – CEO/Founder, Soul Events

1 in 4 women and 1 in 14 men are experiencing domestic violence in Australia, and 1 in 4 children or 1 in 2 aboriginal children are exposed to family violence. Just last week alone we had 6 deaths in QLD and 62 women and 18 children in total, in Australia, who have suffered violent deaths since January 1 this year (with domestic violence attributed to 70% of those deaths).

High Tea for DV is an event that is held annually on White Ribbon Day (25th November), and includes

  • gourmet selection of the finest high tea enticements and drink on arrival
  • guest speakers, including Tracey Horton (victim and survivor) and Manuela Whitford (CEO/Founder of Friends with Dignity)
  • Lucky Door prizes, raffles, music and entertainment
  • a FREE mini soul reading by a Soul Event attending psychic reader

“An inspiration for so many of us travelling that path and still trying to shake off the (sic) emotional wound…The world needs more people like you to encourage us to keep going, to stand up, to be heard and to never give up. I hope I find strength like yours, can share my story openly and help others.” (J.Cail, Brisbane QLD)

Tickets are available through the Soul Events website (www.soulevents.com.au). Only $65.00 per ticket with all proceeds being donated to White Ribbon Australia & Friends with Dignity
